Bunting!!

Yay, ive finally got around to making the bunting for dd1's bedroom,well i kind of cheated and stopped at one wall,but i think it looks good,i machine appliqued her name onto blank cotton triangles,and used green gingham ribbon instead of binding across the top. I think i couldve made it look more professional if id have edged each one with binding but i think im going to leave as it is for now. Would love to hear any comments!

Artsy clutch

I found this fantastic book Bend the rules sewing by Amy karol, it has some inspiring ideas for newbie sewers like me, i made this using interfacing to give it some structure.I gave it for my sisters 28th birthday as a document holder for her travels.

Ive gone off scrapping a bit at the minute, i think its because it makes so much mess and i have no place to scrap other than my bedroom floor, it could also be because ive become hooked on sewing BigTime!! Having said that i really enjoyed doing this cj as it made me use things i havent used for ages...The title was techniques, so i chose to do blooms and doodling, which i love to do.Its a lovely cj with some great LO's in so far.

dolls quilt

Why is it when you need some photos to show off your handiwork you can never find them, and all the things ive made have been given away as gifts!

This is a quilt i made for my dd2 2nd birthday, well its for her dolls actually as we bought her a lovely wooden cradle. I used clothes the girls had grown out of, i think the stripey edges are from some pj bottoms and the patches from a top they both wore. It is by no means perfect, mainly because i was in such a hurry to finish it, so if you can see poor stitching in the photo thats probably just what it is!

Hi, So here it is...now i can share my creativity, my life with my family,my chickens and me.

I have to be creative everyday, thats how i think,eat and breathe,its how i chill out and relax. Hopefully i can share some of my creations here.
