Pink Playdough

We have finally ran out of shop bought playdough so i thought it was about time i made some.It was so easy and much much cheaper than shop bought dough, there are loads of variations around but this is mine(well the only way i know how to actually!)

2 cups flour
2 tablespoons oil
1 cup salt
2 cups water
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
Food colouring

Mix it all together in a bowl and then put in the microwave on high for a couple of mins, it may need longer depending on what the wattage is of your microwave, and be careful because its hot but carefully mix with a spoon and your fingers until it looks like this-Put it back in the microwave if its still too gooey,Have Fun!!

You put me to shame with your motherly goodness. Playdoh is allowed an annual outing each year in my house, so I am awe of you going to the lengths of actually making your own! Hope you have fun with it. x

That looks fun.I got fed up with Play doh after my sil bought the kids an extruder for making "hair" which left little bits of it everywhere. The kids just kept feeding it with a mix of colours which eventually turned a murky brown and looked like mouse droppings.

You forgot to add as a final instruction; Put up high out of reach of any children. What do you mean, shame on you. LOL Just found your blog through florence. I am reading bend the rules sewing too. Apologies for no capitals or speech marks etc, but I am rushing and need to clean up after tea. Had to have a quick surf though and I'm glad to have found here. Just started sewing too. Pop over to my blog when you have a minute and we can compare and contrast!
